I have found that talking to people using sign language is a lot of fun. Sometimes when I’m out and about, a deaf person will see my cochlear implants and get excited and start signing to me. We chat for a bit and both leave a little happier. My signing is not that great, but they don’t care! They genuinely appreciate someone trying to talk to them. It lightens their load for a bit. I encourage you to try on a few signs!
